Last week we received very short notice from PG&E that ClubSport Pleasanton was going lose power on Thursday from 9:30 am to 2:oo pm. Heather and I both tried to push the work into the night but they were not hearing anything about it. In order to minimize the impact on the entire company a whole bunch of people pulled together to execute a plan. I want to recognize the key players. First I want to thank Heather and the entire PLS Team for getting notification out to the members arranging for outdoor classes, and working diligently with all the other parties involved. They had an excellent communication plan using Facebook, e mail, and word of mouth. Heather told me on that there was not a single member that came to the club and said they didn't know about the outage. Heather also deserves special credit for all the work she and her team did on Thursday managing the outage.
I want to thank Travis and Nelson, IT guys, and Gani from Walnut Creek, for helping to arrange the back up system for the computers. Within two days they lined up a back-up generator and had everything prepped and ready to go.
