Green Valley Life Saver

Who would have ever thought we would have two members have heart attacks at two different properties on the same day? I told you about the Fremont story, but a similar situation happened Friday at Green Valley. A member collapsed after playing squash, his two playing partners started CPR immediately. Eric Simmons, Group Exercise Director, was the MOD and responded to the code. He raced down stairs, grabbing the AED as he went, and after shocking the member three times he returned to consciousness. Eric's quick response, and his training on the AED saved the member's life.
We are waiting to hear how the member is doing today. The family was very grateful to the Club and to Eric for his heroic actions. We are all very proud of Eric as well.
