Meet Alex Alvarez - Personal Trainer of the Year

I would like for you to meet our second Personal Trainer of the Year, Alex from Aliso Viejo. He wrote up this wonderful bio below. Congratulations Alex.

My name is Alejandro Alvarez (“Alex”), was born in Caracas, Venezuela in June 4th, 1973, from Spanish parents. I started practicing Martial Arts (Karate, Judo) at the age of 6 and haven’t stopped ever since! They form my character and are still a very important part of my life. Since a very young age I have had a passion for fitness, traveling and reading. I majored in College in Science, Electronics and actually worked in that field for 12 years in technical, service and managerial positions. I had the opportunity to travel extensively both for work and pleasure which has give me a better understanding of people and different cultures. I moved to California in 2002 and since seems like fitness was the right change to make in my life and career. I have been working as a manager and/or Personal Trainer ever since and loving it. Last year I develop a new class currently call “X-Fit” which integrates elements of athletic training (Cross fit), Martial Arts and Resistance training. Since before opening, being part of the Team here at the Renaissance Club Sport, has been a challenging and rewarding experience with tons of learning and growing opportunities. My training style is extremely challenging and personalized, and continually evolves into different disciplines and styles making it always fresh and rewarding both for me and my clients. I am very results oriented and consider the most important part of my job to make friends and change the lives of my clients and colleagues!
