Today was the first day of our management of Renaissance ClubSport Aliso Viejo. It's a very exciting day for all of us because now we have direct control of all aspects of the property. What is a little confusing to people is that we have always been involved, so what changed? Prior to today we were the ownership group and acting consultants to Marriott on the Renaissance ClubSport brand. As of today, August 15, 2009, we are the management company as well. This is the exact situation we have in Walnut Creek. I spoke with Brian today who is on site and he said things are busy but going smoothly.
Ed is on site and ready to go, same with Bob. Laurie Smith from Oregon will be joining the team in the next couple weeks. It was great to see that all but a few associates have made the transition to working for Leisure Sports - our family got a little bigger today.
I wish the entire Renaissance ClubSport Aliso Viejo team success and good luck as they start the second chapter of that property's history.
