Community Involvement

One of the things that we feel is important as a company is being involved in our club communities. This week in Pleasanton there were quite a few things going on. Friday was the Gasit Golf Tournament that is the primary scholarship fund raiser for local high school students beginning their college careers. Steve, Pat, and Barbara are deeply involved, and have been for years. Saturday, Steve was barbecuing at a City of Pleasanton Sister City function. Pat has a long history of involvement in the community. Most recently, he served as the Board President for the Alameda Fair Board.
I spent a good part of Saturday building the football toss game you see here for the PPIE Carnival to raise money for school programs this fall. I also serve on the City of Pleasanton's Trail Advisory Committee. Our General Managers serve on various boards and committees as well. When we are involved in making our communities better, it obvoiusly benefits the community while at the same time enhancing the image and prominence of our properties.
If you are helping to make a difference in your community, comment on this item and let me know about it.
