Associate Referral and Race Report

It's time for our year end associate referral. All properties will have their programs going shortly if they haven't started already. This is a great opportunity for all associates to get a great deal on membership for neighbors, friends, and loved ones. Talk to the Membership Director or General Manager at your property about the specifics- each property is doing something a little different

I will do a drawing from the top referring associates at each property for a special LSI thank you prize. I am currently taking suggestions on what that prize should be. Of course the associate will be featured on my blog, which is already a pretty big deal. Qais from Fremont is our reigning champ.

It's 100 push-up Thursday. Do the girl version, boy version, whatever just do it. Break the 100 into sets of whatever is comfortable. Spread the sets out over the course of the day or challenge yourself with short rest periods.

Race Report Heather Stanek, Mary Arnerich, and Sandie Hernbroth did the Big Sur Half Marathon last Sunday. Heather busted out a 1:52 on very little training, Mary got the job done also with very little training. I'm looking forward to seeing what you two can do with training. Sandie, our TEAM ClubSport PLS run coach not only ran it but also coordinated about 8 other CS members who did the race.

Christina Dort in our LSI office ran the Malibu Half Marathon Sunday. She was trying to keep a low profile about it but my investigating team was able to come up with the inside story. Christina said the run was "awesome" - a beautiful day along the socal coast. She saw dolphins and otters along the way and enjoyed a sometime on the beach after with her husband who also ran. This is what these events are all about, getting exercise, being outside, and shared experiences with loved ones and friends.

Brian Amador committed to doing the Kaiser Half Marathon with me on SuperBowl Sunday in Golden Gate Park. You in - join us? It would be fun to have a group. We did the race last year, and have done it quite a few times in past years, it's a good time.

This weekend is IRONMAN Arizona. I would like to know the names of all the members who are doing this race, can you help me out with this? I know of two guys from PLS who are doing their first IM in this race, but I am sure there are a few more.
