TEAM ClubSport

TEAM ClubSport, our Swim, Bike, Run, and Triathlon team, is in it's second year of existence. Glenda Smith is the Director for the NorCal properties and the head coach in Walnut Creek. Sandi Hernbroth is the head coach in Pleasanton, and Marie McCutcheon is the head coach in Fremont. Because of these women, and all the other contributing coaches, the program has grown awesomely in it's second year. This last weekend the entire TEAM was down in San Jose for a tri and Marie was nice enough to write this up for me to post. I don't see it in the write up but Marie did tell me she set a personal record (PR) for this course. Thank you to all the coaches, it's going to be a great season. That's Glenda left and Marie right.

Members of ClubSport Fremont, Pleasanton and Walnut Creek gathered together on Saturday and Sunday last to compete in the Silicon Valley Sprint and international triathlon at Lake Almaden San Jose.

There were 70 TEAM ClubSport members competing, their age ranging from 19 to 60 years old. 30 participants had not done a triathlon in the past. Some participants graduated from Sprint to Olympic for the first time including our MamaCoach Glenda, who looked like she was loving it.
On Saturday at the Sprint distance we had 4 people who placed in their age group and TEAM ClubSport came in second in the Team Challenge.

It was great to see all members of the TEAM ClubSport stay at the finish line to cheer the other participants across the finish line.
